Jeremy Thompson Catholic PhD in Biblical Languages, Programmer, Runner

My name is Jeremy Thompson, and I recently successfully defended my dissertation for a PhD in Biblical Languages through the University of Stellenbosch.  I have taught courses on the Old Testament at several universities in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas, including Notre Dame Seminary, St. Joseph’s Abbey and Seminary College and Loyola University.  I have facilitated certification courses on a variety of other topics related to scripture, theology and spirituality through the Diocese of Baton Rouge.  I have also published an article in the Journal of Northwest Semitic Languages and read papers at the annual meetings of the Society of Biblical Literature and National Association of Professors of Hebrew.  In addition to my academic and teaching pursuits, I am currently the Director of Adult Faith Formation at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond, LA.
